Dear Portland,
As we reflect on our first year in office together, we're filled with gratitude for the chance to serve this city we all love. It's been a year full of challenges and full of growth, but we've stayed focused on listening to and showing up for our communities. We've made progress, but we know there's still important work to be done to build the Portland we all believe in. Thank you for your trust as we step into the new year together.
-Your Portland City Councilors
In 2022, Portland voters approved major changes to how our city government works. Ballot Measure 26-228 introduced ranked-choice voting, geographic districts, and a new mayor-council system, replacing a structure that had been in place for over 100 years. Now, with the first year of this new structure complete, we're taking a moment to reflect on the progress made and share some highlights from 2025.
