Authorize Council to continue operating under the current City Code Chapter 3.02

Adopted

WHEREAS, Section C of Emergency Ordinance No. 192021 directs the Council President to ensure that a proposal to replace or extend Chapter 3.02 of City Code is placed on the Council agenda no later than October 31, 2025; and

WHEREAS, the Council has continued to evolve its structure and operations through the adoption of various rules and procedures over the last year; and

WHEREAS, the Council President has developed a package of items in accordance with the directive in Section C of Emergency Ordinance No. 192021; and

WHEREAS, the Council President and Council Vice President are planning to schedule the package in November 2025, barring unforeseen delays.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council will continue operating under the current language in Chapter 3.02 of City Code; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council President will work with the Council Vice President to schedule a package of amendments to Chapter 3.02 of City Code in the Governance Committee.
