Authorize the City Attorney to take legal action as warranted for labor matters
WHEREAS, the City has an interest in labor peace; and
WHEREAS, the City has an interest in ensuring continuity of services to the public; and
WHEREAS, the Portland City Laborers has filed a notice of intent to strike; and
WHEREAS, legal action may be warranted to protect the interests of the City and the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Attorney, or designee, in consultation with the Bureau of Human Resources, is authorized to take legal action that it deems appropriate to protect the interests of the City and the community in the event of a work stoppage related to Portland City Laborers.
