Impact Statement

Purpose of proposed legislation and background information

The purpose of this presentation is to inform Council and the public of Auditor's Office results.

Financial and budgetary impacts

There are no immediate financial or budgetary impacts. Implementation of audit and Ombudsman recommendations could improve the transparency and efficiency of City programs.

Economic and real estate development impacts

Not applicable.

Community impacts and community involvement

Ombudsman complaints come from community members and community members are consulted during audit work. Presenting these results publicly provides community members with information about how City operations and decisions may affect them. Archives & Records Management collaborated with Street Books, a street library that provides community, resources, and advocacy for people living outside, to record oral histories of community members experiencing homelessness for the creation of Keeping the Flame of Love & Creativity Alive. Presenting this publication amplifies diverse experiences and memories of life in Portland that are often left out of the historical record.

100% renewable goal

Not applicable.

Economic and real estate development analysis

Analysis provided by Prosper Portland

An Economic and Real Estate Development Impact Analysis was not submitted for this proposed action. Pursuant to City Council Resolution 37664, Prosper Portland staff has reviewed the action and agree that it does not require an Economic and Real Estate Development Impact Analysis.
