Reappoint Bob Gagliasso and Zakari Slicher to the Plumbing Code Board of Appeal for terms to expire June 25, 2027
As Mayor, I request Council confirmation of the following reappointments to the Plumbing Code Board of Appeal.
The Plumbing Code Board of Appeal consists of three members and one alternate appointed by the Mayor.
One member shall be a plumbing contractor whose experience and training qualify him to decide matters concerning the safety of installations and devices regulated by PCC Title 25; one member shall be a person engaged in the design of plumbing installations whose experience and training qualify him to decide matters concerning the safety of installations and devices and one member who shall be a member of the public at large.
The Plumbing Code Board of Appeal hears appeals of plumbing code issues which are appealed beyond the Administrative Appeals Board. The Appeals Board may affirm, annul or modify the action of BDS on the condition that substantially equivalent safety is provided that generally conforms to national standards concerning fire prevention, fire safety measures, and building construction requirements for safety.
This board meets as appeals are received.
Two actions are currently needed. I recommend two candidates for reappointment to the Plumbing Code Board of Appeal.

Bob Gagliasso has spent over 40 years in the trades as a plumbing business owner and is the VP of the Cascade Chapter of the International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials.

Zakari Slicher has been working in the plumbing trade for nearly 20 years with both union and non-union experience. Zakari's specialty is residential service, repair and remodel.
