Accept Community Healing Through Art report from the City Arts Program
City arts program manager Jeff Hawthorne and former creative laureate Subashini Ganesan-Forbes will summarize the City's initiative to support Community Healing through Art.
Since April of 2021, a total of $240,000, including $150,000 in City funds, has been invested in community-centered arts events to help Portlanders process the emotional toll of the COVID-19 pandemic, economic recession, racial justice reckoning, climate disasters and other crises of the past two years. This report will summarize those activities and describe some of the impacts.
A written report is attached.
