Proclaim results of the 2024 Municipal Nonpartisan General Election on Measure 26-249: Amends Charter: Deletes outdated, redundant requirements to approve utility franchises
Whereas, at the Municipal Nonpartisan General Election held on November 5, 2024, a measure proposed to voters by City Charter Commission referral with the ballot title caption, “Amends Charter: Deletes outdated, redundant requirements to approve utility franchises,” and such measure was designated on the ballot as Measure 26-249, and according to the official canvas 259,698 votes were cast in favor of said measure, and 48,010 were cast against said measure, now, therefore, it is hereby
Proclaimed by the undersigned Mayor of the City of Portland, that the measure with the ballot title caption, “Amends Charter: Deletes outdated, redundant requirements to approve utility franchises,” has been enacted and is in effect and operative as provided in the measure.
