A brief description of Communication: My topic will be speaking as a representative of Community in Bowls (CIB) Portland, which is a group whose mission is to increase access to skateparks for those who are often underrepresented in the skatepark scene. We are a group of primarily quad skaters, many of whom are youth, women, nonbinary people, transgender people, and/or part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. During my time slot I intend to speak on how and why the Steel Bridge Skatepark would be an asset to our community of skaters, and what this park would mean for us and for Portland.
