Portlanders Join Citywide Celebration of Dolly Parton Day

Label: Press release
Portland bars and restaurants join citywide celebration for Dolly Parton Day on September 25 with special drinks, food, live music, and opportunities to support children’s literacy
Published

Following Council President Jamie Dunphy's proclamation, supported by Mayor Wilson, to recognize Friday, September 25, 2026, as Dolly Parton Day, restaurants, bars, music venues, and community partners across Portland are joining the celebration with Dolly-inspired food and drinks, live music, costumes, and charitable giving.

September 25, or 9/25, honors Dolly Parton through her iconic song and film "9 to 5." Portland businesses are embracing the spirit of the day with a little creativity, a lot of rhinestones, and plenty of ways for Portlanders to celebrate Dolly's music, generosity, and legacy. Over 15 businesses have confirmed participating, including local favorites like all McMenamins locations, and we look forward to many more honoring the legacy of Dolly Parton.

Dolly Day 2026 Participants

Council President Dunphy's Office and the City of Portland thanks each participating business and community partner for helping make Dolly Parton Day a citywide celebration.

"It's amazing to see just how many Portland businesses and community partners are joining in on Dolly Parton Day," said Portland City Council President Jamie Dunphy. "The creativity, generosity, and sheer number of Dolly-inspired specials happening across the city is really something to celebrate. From cocktails and comfort food to live music and donations supporting children's literacy, Portlanders are finding so many fun ways to make 9/25 their own. I'm grateful to every business and community partner helping us celebrate Dolly and everything she represents."

From music and cocktails to books, food, and community gatherings, Portlanders are encouraged to celebrate Dolly's legacy on September 25.
