Portland, OR — Councilor Candance Avalos (District 1) invites Portlanders to attend her D1 People’s Picnic, a fun, free festival at Parklane Park where people can learn more about government services and community resources and connect with their neighbors. There will be local DJ Chaach playing music, food vendors, games and activities, special community awards, and booths with information from neighborhood associations, city bureaus, PDX 311, and other organizations. Councilor Avalos will be joined by special guest Portland Mayor Keith Wilson at the event.
Updates and additional information about the D1 People’s Picnic can be found here; people interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP.
“All are welcome to attend the D1 People’s Picnic,” said Councilor Candace Avalos. “East Portland finally has the representation they deserve in City Hall, and this family-friendly event is an opportunity to get to know our city government and the people of East Portland better. I’m excited to be joined by Mayor Wilson, and I look forward to seeing everyone at the D1 People’s Picnic!”
