Councilor Avalos Invites East Portland to Attend D1 People’s Picnic

East Portland finally has the representation they deserve in City Hall, and this family-friendly event is an opportunity to get to know our city government and the people of East Portland better.

Portland, OR — Councilor Candance Avalos (District 1) invites Portlanders to attend her D1 People’s Picnic, a fun, free festival at Parklane Park where people can learn more about government services and community resources and connect with their neighbors. There will be local DJ Chaach playing music, food vendors, games and activities, special community awards, and booths with information from neighborhood associations, city bureaus, PDX 311, and other organizations. Councilor Avalos will be joined by special guest Portland Mayor Keith Wilson at the event.
