Martin Luther King Jr. Day closure

Most City of Portland offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Council districts

Districts are geographic areas smaller than the city as a whole and only the voters within that geographic area can vote for representatives in their districts. Portlanders will have four new geographic districts with three members elected to represent each district. Portland voters can help elect three city councilors to represent their part of the city.
