City Council

City Council holds regular meetings at 9:30 a.m. on the first, second, fourth and fifth Wednesday and 6:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. If there is sufficient business, additional meetings are held the following Thursday at 2:00 p.m.

In accordance with Portland City Code and state law, City Council holds hybrid public meetings, which provide for both virtual and in-person participation. Councilors may elect to attend remotely by video and teleconference, or in-person. The City makes several avenues available for the public to listen to and watch the broadcast of this meeting, including the City's YouTube Channel, the Open Signal website, and Xfinity Channel 30 and 330.

Public Testimony

City Council welcomes public testimony. Select the "Testify on this item" link to sign up to provide verbal testimony at the meeting or to submit written testimony on available agenda items (learn more about testifying on agenda items). Registration for virtual testimony closes one hour prior to the Council meeting. In-person testifiers must sign up before the agenda item is heard.
