Pre-gavel
Honoring the late District 4 Constituent Steve Griffith. Steve was probably best-known locally as the head coach for 20+ years of the Lincoln HS Constitution Team, which won four national titles and ten state championships during his tenure. In addition to that legendaryness, he was a member (two terms) and chair of the PPS Board, the founder of a preschool in Liberia (where he served in the Peace Corps), a devotee of our outdoor and natural areas (OLCV board etc.), a very well-regarded lawyer at Stoel Rives, and a Rhodes Scholar with degrees from Stanford, Harvard, and Oxford.
