In November of 2014, Commissioners Fritz and Fish invited Portlanders to engage in a conversation about the future of Mt. Tabor reservoirs.
This section of the Willamette Greenway Trail, the South Waterfront North Reach, will connect people to the Willamette River and help to restore habitat for fish and wildlife in the South Waterfront District and beyond.
Construction is anticipated to start in early-Summer 2024 and will take up to four months to complete.
Environmental Services is designing a sewer project to replace 250 feet of aging pipes near private properties within the Corbett neighborhood. This project will protect public health and the environment by reducing the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses, and streets.
Project design began in 2019 and will continue through 2024. Construction is expected to begin in early March 2025 and will be completed by mid-February 2026.
Environmental Services is designing a project to restore about 18 acres in the Johnson Creek floodplain. The project will reconnect Johnson Creek to its historic floodplain, reduce flooding on private property, restore habitat for fish and wildlife, and improve water quality in the creek.
