Brentwood-Darlington Crossroads Safety Project: SE Flavel Street at SE 72nd Avenue

This intersection safety project will rebuild the signal at SE Flavel and SE 72nd to include dedicated left hand turns and will add additional illumination to the intersection. The project will also update corner ramps to current ADA standards and improve poor pavement conditions.
NE Killingsworth Safer Crossings Project

PBOT will install nine safer crossings on NE Killingsworth including pedestrian islands and curb extensions. This project is in design and will construct the crossings in the summer of 2024 and summer 2025.

A new, covered skatepark is being planned for Creston Park. This will be the very first covered skatepark in the PP&R system.
Tryon Creek Highway 43 Culvert Replacement Project

This project is in the early phases of design. Construction is not expected until 2025.
Environmental Services - your sewer and stormwater utility - is working with the U.S Army Corps of Engineers to replace an undersized culvert that carries Tryon Creek under Highway 43 out to the Willamette River. This project will reopen Tryon Creek to migrating salmon.
NE MLK and Russell Sewer Project

Environmental Services is designing a project to upsize 583 feet of sewer pipe, replace 20 public sewer connections to private property, and add three new maintenance holes in the Eliot neighborhood. These improvements will reduce the possibility of sewage releases to buildings and streets.

The Water Bureau will install 3,350 feet of water main (pipe) in southwest Portland. The pipes are aging and pass underneath the I-5 freeway and SW Barbur Boulevard, where a failure of these older pipes could cause major problems. This project will benefit over 42,000 people served by the main.
SE Oak and 2nd Sewer Project

Environmental Services is constructing a project to repair 200 feet of main public sewer pipes on SE Oak Street between SE 2nd Avenue and the railroad tracks. This project will reduce the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses, and streets.

This project is funded by the Metro Regional Parks & Nature Bond Local Share approved by voters in 2019. The Bristlecone Pine Trail Accessibility Improvements Project will renovate the existing 1-mile out and back trail and the parking lot that serves as a trailhead.
NE Shaver Sidewalk Infill: NE 102nd to NE 115th avenues

Crews contracted by PBOT will construct a walking space between SE 92nd Avenue and the Interstate 205 multi-use path along SE Steele Street and update two corner curb ramps on the east side of the intersection.
