Irving Park Stormwater Project

Nature patch work was completed in February 2021. Rain garden and green street planter design is in progress and will continue through Fall 2021. Construction of the rain gardens and green street planters is currently scheduled to begin June 2022.
Environmental Services and Portland Parks & Recreation are collaborating on a project to build nature patches and rain gardens to manage stormwater in Irving Park. The project will help prevent nearby flooding, sewer basement backups, and sewage overflows into the Willamette River during storms.

NE Gile Terrace Sewer Extension Project

Project design continues. The construction timeline has not yet been determined.
Environmental Services is designing a project to extend the public sewer into NE Gile Terrace and provide service to properties currently served by a nonconforming sewer. The project proposes to construct 306 feet of public sewer pipe, two manholes, one cleanout, and three sewer service laterals.

NW Westover Road Sewer Repairs

Construction is anticipated to begin in December of 2021 and take up to a year to complete.
Environmental Services continues design on a project to replace and upsize 1,400 feet of 100-year-old public sewer pipes in NW Westover Road, NW Summit Avenue, and NW Lovejoy Street. Work will include installing new maintenance access holes and service laterals to private properties.

NE 33rd Drive Pump Station Upgrades Project

Design work began in July 2020. Construction is anticipated to begin winter 2022.
Environmental Services – the City’s sewer and stormwater bureau – is designing a project to upgrade a pump station in Northeast Portland. This project will replace the existing pump station with a new larger pump station.

N Thunderbird Way Sewer Repair Project

Construction is expected to August 2021 and last about four months.
Environmental Services is designing a project to repair an aging sewer pipe that is in deteriorating condition in the Lloyd neighborhood. This repair will help to protect the public and our environment by reducing costly breaks, leaks, blockages, and sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.
Project design is complete. Construction is now anticipated to begin in fall or winter--as soon as October..
Environmental Services will be constructing a project that will install and upsize public sewer pipes, as well as construct green street planters within the Buckman and Kerns neighborhoods. These improvements will increase sewer capacity, relieve sewer backups, and reduce street flooding.

NE 105th and Marx Pump Station Project

The project is in the design phase. Construction is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2022 and take about 18 months to complete.
Environmental Services is designing a project to upgrade and expand the aging pump station located at NE Marx Street and 105th Avenue in the Parkrose neighborhood. The project will modernize equipment, increase system capacity, and help protect public health and the environment.
Construction is anticipated to begin August 2021 and be completed by March 2022.
Environmental Services will construct a project that removes 22 aging sumps throughout the City and replaces them with 17 new sumps and 10 new sedimentation manholes.
