Timing has changed for implementation of the final phases of design and construction for the Willamette River Crossing project.
Taggart Outfall Sewer Project

Environmental Services completed construction in February of 2023.
Environmental Services has completed construction on a project to improve the function of the Taggart Outfall sewer tunnel. Crews repaired 3,700 feet of sewer pipe inside the tunnel and modified an existing maintenance hole to improve its function during high rainfall events.
Ladd’s Addition Green Street and Sewer Project

Construction is almost complete and is in the final stages of restoration.
Environmental Services constructed a project that installed and upsized public sewer pipes, as well as constructed green street planters, within the Ladd’s Addition neighborhood. These improvements increase sewer capacity, relieve sewer backups, and reduce street flooding.
Grand Avenue Riser Stabilization Project

Project design is nearly complete. Construction is anticipated to begin in June of 2024 and will take up to five months to complete.
Environmental Services is designing a project to stabilize soils at maintenance hole risers located along Grand Avenue. Soils are settling, requiring layers of asphalt to provide safe driving surfaces. This project will design a solution to stabilize soils and prevent settlement.
Safety improvements near Cleveland High School (SE 26th Ave and Powell Blvd)

Short-term and long-term safety improvements by the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) near and around Cleveland High School at SE 26th Avenue and Powell Boulevard. Working in tandem with partners at the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), TriMet, and Portland Public Schools.
