Environmental Services is removing aging sumps throughout the City and replacing them with new sumps and new sedimentation manholes. This work will help control stormwater runoff and sewer backups.

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will create the N Delaware Greenway to establish low-stress neighborhood streets that are great places to walk, bike, roll, and play.
N Going and Greeley Sewer Project

This project is currently in design and construction is not anticipated to begin until the summer of 2024.
Environmental Services is designing a project to install and replace public sewer pipes along N Going Avenue, N Going Court, N Humboldt Street, and N Greeley Street. Replacing and repairing the aging and damaged sewer pipes will help protect public health and the environment.

Environmental Services is designing a project to repair large-diameter trunk sewer pipes near Interstate-5 and N Interstate Ave. This project will reduce the risks of basement sewer backups, flooding, and emergency repairs in the future.
