Irving Park Stormwater Project

Nature patch work was completed in February 2021. Construction of the rain gardens and green street planters is currently scheduled to begin in October 2023 and take about four months to complete.
Environmental Services and Portland Parks & Recreation are collaborating on a project to build nature patches and rain gardens to manage stormwater in Irving Park. The project will help prevent nearby flooding, sewer basement backups, and sewage overflows into the Willamette River during storms.

Construction is expected to begin January 2023 and take up to 5 months to complete.
Environmental Services is designing a project to replace and upsize 223 feet of public sewer pipes and four service lateral pipes in the Sullivan's Gulch Neighborhood. This project will reduce the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses, and streets.
