The overall project is still in the early investigation and evaluation phases. Engineering design work will begin in 2022 and will potentially be completed in the spring of 2024. Construction will begin sometime after the end of design.
The Lower Northwest Sewer and Stormwater project will replace or repair aging sewer pipes in the Northwest and Pearl districts. This project will protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of street flooding and sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets. 

SW 17th Avenue Sewer Extension Project

The project is currently in the design phase. Construction is expected to begin in August 2023 and should take about four to six weeks.
Environmental Services is extending the public sewer in SW 17th Avenue, north of SW Clifton Street. This work is part of the City’s ongoing effort to provide property owners a way to directly and independently connect to the public sewer system in order to meet current City Code requirements. 

W Burnside Street at St. Clair Avenue Pedestrian Crossing

SW 16th Ave and College St Sewer Project

Currently in design, construction is not anticipated to begin until spring of 2024.
Environmental Services is redesigning a project to repair public sewer pipe along SW 16th Avenue in the undeveloped right-of-way between SW College and SW Upper Hall streets and extending the sewer in SW College. This will help protect public health and the environment.
