Environmental Services is removing aging sumps throughout the City and replacing them with new sumps and new sedimentation manholes. This work will help control stormwater runoff and sewer backups.

As part of a large signals package, PBOT and the Safe Routes to School program have designated five locations where contractors will build new pedestrian traffic signals and beacons. The five intersections are located on key school walking routes across Portland.
Russellville Pump Station Replacement Project

This project is currently in the early stages of design. Construction is anticipated to beginning in the Fall of 2027.
Environmental Services is designing a project to replace the Russellville Pump Station, located at 10503 E Burnside Street. The pump station, constructed in 1985 is nearly 40 years old and needs to be replaced to meet standards for operations, safety, and pumping capacity.
