In March 2019, Portland Parks & Recreation received a safety and structural stability assessment of Montavilla Park’s picnic shelter. The report indicates that the structure is presumed to be unsafe and must be removed to ensure visitor safety.
Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, March 27 and be completed by September 2023.
Environmental Services will construct a project that removes 22 aging sumps throughout the City and replaces them with 17 new sumps and 10 new sedimentation manholes. This work will help control stormwater runoff and sewer backups.

SE 89th & Taylor Local Improvement District

This Local Improvement District (LID) will construct street and sidewalk improvements on portions of SE Taylor Street and SE 89th Avenue next to Berrydale Park.
Construction 2025-2026
As part of this project, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will make critical safety improvements to 82nd Avenue, including rebuilding signals at NE 82nd Avenue at Glisan and Davis streets.
