The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will construct improvements on key pedestrian and bicycle routes in the Jade District and Montavilla neighborhood, connecting various neighborhood hubs in Southeast Portland.

Citywide Sump Repair and Replacement

Construction began in April 2023 and will continue through April 2026. Check the webpage for regular project updates.
Environmental Services is removing aging sumps throughout the City and replacing them with new sumps and new sedimentation manholes. This work will help control stormwater runoff and sewer backups.

SE 89th Avenue & Taylor Street Local Improvement District

This Local Improvement District (LID) will construct street and sidewalk improvements on portions of SE Taylor Street and SE 89th Avenue next to Berrydale Park.
A safety improvement project including travel lane reconfiguration, ADA upgrades, crossing enhancements, and enhanced bike lanes on Stark and Washington between 92nd and 106th. Design should occur in 2024 with construction in 2025-2026.
