Lower Northwest Sewer Capacity Project

This project is in the design stage and construction is paused until fall of 2028.
Environmental Services is designing a project that will upgrade public sewer and stormwater pipes and install new water quality treatment vaults in Northwest Portland. This project will protect the public and the environment by reducing street flooding and sewage releases to homes and businesses.

Design has been completed. Construction began in June of 2024 and should take about six months to complete.
Environmental Services, in partnership with the Portland Water Bureau, is constructing a project to upgrade infrastructure in NW Portland. This project will increase system capacity, reduce the risk of sewer discharges, and improve earthquake resilience for our critical infrastructure.
North Park Blocks Extension

Expected completion of PNCA Block in Spring 2027
This project will extend the North Park Blocks to include the "PNCA Block," the block between NW Hoyt and Glisan Streets. It will also include park blocks further north, to be developed fully at a later date.

The Portland Bureau of Transportation brought a host of improvements to SW Broadway in 2022, making it safer for all travelers. Additional improvements are coming to this high crash corridor in 2024.

Developed by Home Forward and the Urban League of Portland, the Broadway Corridor Affordable Housing development will be a 14-story mixed-used building with 230 affordable units ranging from studios to 3-bedrooms, and will be the first building to begin construction at Broadway Corridor.
