The NE Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard project will enhance pedestrian crossings and reduce gaps between crossings to improve safety, access transit, and access to destinations along MLK.
Changes to addresses and street names took effect on May 2, 2022
The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) has improved the confusing names of streets in the Columbia / Lombard Corridor in North and Northeast Portland.
Construction planned for Fall 2023
The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will construct a median island pedestrian crossing adjacent to the Oregon Human Society building at NE Columbia Boulevard at NE 11th Ave.
Upcoming crosswalk and ADA curb ramp improvement projects along Primary Investment Routes located within the Portland Public Schools (PPS) district. Funded by the 2012 PPS Bond.
Sewer and Stormwater
Construction is expected to begin in May 2024 and take about 5 months to complete.
Environmental Services is in the early stages of design on a stormwater management project in the northern portion of the Woodlawn neighborhood. This project is part of a larger effort to improve water and sediment quality in the Columbia Slough.
