Citywide Sump Repair and Replacement

Environmental Services is removing aging sumps throughout the City and replacing them with new sumps and new sedimentation manholes. This work will help control stormwater runoff and sewer backups.
Lloyd District Sewer and Stormwater Planning Project

Investigations of current conditions and planning for potential sewer and stormwater repairs and improvements began in the summer of 2023 and will continue through mid-2026.
Environmental Services is developing a plan for the sanitary and stormwater sewer system in Lloyd District and nearby areas. This planning effort will protect public health and the environment by identifying repairs and improvements to the neighborhood system.
NE 20th and Brazee Sewer Project

Design work is underway, and construction is anticipated to begin in Summer 2025 and take three to four months to complete.
Environmental Services is designing a project to replace the main sewer line on NE 20th Avenue between Brazee and Thompson streets. Sections of the pipe are over 115 years old and in deteriorating condition. This project will reduce the risks of basement sewer backups and flooding in the future.
