Naito Parkway is a critical transportation spine along the west side of the Willamette. This project will implement a year-round version of Better Naito, providing a two-way cycletrack and sidewalk along the west side of Waterfront Park.
SE Hawthorne and Madison Multimodal Improvements

This project will implement recommendations from the Central City in Motion plan, improving safety by upgrading pedestrian crossings and bike lanes. PBOT will also add a new bus and turn (BAT) lane on SE Hawthorne Boulevard and upgrade the existing bus lane on SE Madison Street.

Powell Butte Reservoir 1 Roof Repair

The two reservoirs at Powell Butte fuel our region with safe and abundant water. Starting in summer 2021, the Water Bureau began repairs on the roof of Reservoir 1. We've installed a better drainage system on the reservoir's roof and are now restoring the site.
Tryon Creek Trunk Sewer Project

Construction is resuming in late July or early August 2022. The project should be complete by October 2022.
Environmental Services is repairing an 800 linear foot portion of the elevated 30-inch Tryon Creek Trunk Sewer located between the Tryon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant and Highway 43. These repairs will extend the life of the pipeline by 20 years and prevent sewage from leaking into Tryon Creek.
NW Cornell Tunnel Project: Tunnel Rehabilitation

NE 33rd Avenue Bridge

The NE 33rd Avenue Bridge over NE Lombard Street was closed for repairs after engineers with the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) observed damage to the concrete in one of the bridge’s cross beams. Repairs are now complete and the bridge reopened on Monday, July 31 2023.

SE Carlton and 72nd Sewer Project

Environmental Services is nearing completion of a project to replace and upsize 600 feet of 100-year-old concrete public sewer pipes and 28 service lateral pipes in the Mt. Scott-Arleta neighborhood. This project will reduce risks of basement sewer backups, flooding, and future emergency repairs.
Replacing the motor control centers at the Barbur Gibbs Pump Station

The Water Bureau is replacing three motor control centers in the Barbur Gibbs pump station. The motor control centers were installed in the 1960s and have reached the end of their useful life. The motor control center encases the electrical starters that control, monitor and protect the pump motors.
