50s Bikeway Project

The 50s Bikeway Project, a 4.3 mile safety corridor along 52nd and 53rd avenues, improves connections to eight neighborhoods, including 12 schools and seven parks on Portland’s east side. The route filled in a major missing link within the city’s bicycle network.

Portland’s 30-mile Wildwood Trail once suffered a major flaw: its crossing at Burnside Road. With an average 18,000 vehicles passing daily, hikers were forced to dodge traffic in their pursuit of nature. The Barbara Walker Crossing now enhances access to nature by making this crossing safe.

SE 122nd Ave Bridge over Johnson Creek

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) built a replacement bridge after the 122nd Avenue Bridge was damaged by heavy rains during winter storms in December 2015.
LED Street Light Conversion Program

Delta Park - Urban Forestry Facilities

Thanks to the 2014 Parks Replacement Bond, improvements were made at the Urban Forestry Yard. The project included construction of a new covered and secure storage area for large equipment and an enclosed shop building.
122nd Avenue Area Safety Improvements

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) installed three new rapid flashing beacon crossings and filled in sidewalk gaps in areas along 122nd Avenue between SE Foster Road and NE Sandy Boulevard to improve safety for travelers.
