This project will implement recommendations from the Central City in Motion plan,  improving safety by upgrading pedestrian crossings and bike lanes. PBOT will also add a new bus and turn (BAT) lane on SE Hawthorne Boulevard and upgrade the existing bus lane on SE Madison Street.

SW 47th Avenue Phase I LID

N Suttle Road LID

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) and the Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) are constructing street, sidewalk, stormwater and sanitary sewer improvements on N Suttle Road.

N Delaware Sewer Project

Sewer construction will resume in in early June 2021. Work is expected to be complete by late August 2021.
Environmental Services is constructing a project to repair 623 feet of deteriorating brick sewer pipe under North Delaware Avenue between North Buffalo Street and North Lombard Street. The project also includes a small section of sewer pipe under North Rosa Parks Way at North Delaware Avenue.
Construction started in January 2021 and was completed in May 2021.
Environmental Services has finished a project to reconstruct the public sewer system in N Mississippi Avenue between N Shaver and N Fremont streets. Sewer and stormwater improvements will increase capacity of the 100-year-old sewer, relieve sewer backups, and reduce street flooding.

Peninsula Trail Fiber Optic Installation

This project has started construction and should be completed by February 2021.
Environmental Services is installing an underground fiber optic communications network from North Willamette Boulevard, along the Peninsula Trail to the Columbia Wastewater Treatment Plant. The new fiber optic system will allow real time communications with remote equipment.
Construction is anticipated to begin the week of October 11 and be completed in December 2021.
Environmental Services is coordinating with the Peninsula Drainage District #2 (PEN2) to construct a project to replace approximately 300 feet of storm pipe on NE 13th Avenue at NE South Shore Road. This project will increase system capacity and relieve neighborhood flooding.
Work completed in Winter 2021/22
Thanks to funding from the Parks Replacement Bond, East Portland Community Center's parking lot received ADA accessibility improvements.
