Thanks to the Parks Replacement Bond, improvements will be made at the Urban Forestry Yard. The project includes construction of a new covered and secure storage area for large equipment and an enclosed shop building.

The project is in the design phase. We completed a geotechnical probe in August 2020 and more studies from January to March 2021. We are currently working with the contractor to refine and solidify construction plans, methods, and timelines to begin construction in fall 2022.

Forest Park Entrance and Nature Center

The Entrance and Nature Center will provide an inclusive welcoming entrance to Forest Park. The entrance is under construction now. In a future phase, the Nature Center will showcase the park’s special character and its timeless importance to Portland and the greater region.

The Errol Heights Street Improvement Project will pave the neighborhood’s gravel streets, add sidewalks to the two main east-west routes through the neighborhood, add street lights, address drainage issues, and improve water quality in Johnson Creek.

Penridge Water Mains Replacement

The Portland Water Bureau is finalizing their designs for replacing the water mains (pipes) serving NW Penridge, Skyline Crest, and Greenleaf Roads. Larger water pipes will be installed to increase the flow of water to people's homes and to help put out fires.
