The Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) was created on July 17, 2006. It reflects priorities identified by City Council to build a more family-friendly city and increase public safety.

The Street Services Coordination Center is a collaboration between the City and Multnomah County to provide expedited, streamlined services to those living outside. The Coordination Center engages in outreach to unsheltered individuals, offering shelter, transportation and other resources.
