On January 6, 2026, Safe Blocks, Portland Solutions, Urban League of Portland, the Multnomah County Library, Cascadia Behavioral Health, Cascade AIDS Project, POIC, Nurture, and Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church (Saturday Samaritans) all participated in the community resource fair at Dawson Park.

At the event, Cascadia Behavioral Health announced community members in need can now do laundry, take showers, and get clean socks at the Garlington Center (3036 NE MLK Blvd. Portland, Or 97212).

The event included free hot meals, a food pantry, backpacks, books, and coats.

Resource fairs at Dawson Park are an important collaboration between Safe Blocks and community partners to provide needed resources to the neighborhood.
