National Night Out - District 3 - Normandale Park

National Night Out is a nationwide event that brings neighbors together with local public safety agencies in a fun, family-friendly setting. Meet the people who serve your community, learn about programs and services, and build relationships that help create safer, stronger neighborhoods.

Schedule

• 4 to 5 p.m. - Food, activities, and exhibits
• 5 to 5:12 p.m. - Welcome and opening remarks from City and County leaders
• 5:12 to 5:30 p.m. - Explore exhibits and family activities
• 5:30 to 5:35 p.m. - Public safety demonstration introduction
• 6 to 7 p.m. - Explore exhibits and activities, and connect with community partners

Public Safety Demonstrations & Exhibits

Explore interactive exhibits from public safety partners and experience live demonstrations from the Portland Police Bureau. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about specialized public safety equipment, meet first responders, and view emergency response vehicles.

Featured demonstrations and exhibits include:

• Portland Police Bureau K9 Unit, featuring two patrol handler teams;
• Portland Police Bureau Traffic Motorcycle Unit;
• Portland Police Bureau Drone Team, featuring a drone demonstration; 
• Portland Police Bureau Recruiting Team;
• Portland Fire & Rescue fire engine; and
• Portland Street Response vehicle.
