Rose City Self-Defense (RCSD)

Program

Rose City Self-Defense empowers the Portland community, including girls, women and the LGBTQ+ community, with a focus on engaging communities of color, people with disabilities, folks with unstable housing, as well as safety for sex workers. All programming is free!

Community-Based Classes (ages 14 and up)

The "Progress" Pride flag features the traditional six-color rainbow flag in horizontal stripes of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet, overlaid with chevron stripes in white, light pink, light blue, brown, and black stripes, to indicate colors of the trans pride flag and communities of color.

Personal Safety & Self-Defense Workshop

Come join Rose City Self-Defense and the Safe Blocks Program in collaboration with the library for an Introductory Personal Safety and Self-Defense workshop to learn empowering skills to help keep yourself and your young ones safe and strong! Snacks provided for all attendees.
