Youth Safety & Self-Defense Class

  • Tuesdays, May 5th, 12th, and 19th
  • 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

This Empowerment Self-Defense class is a student-centered training, designed to help youth identify their risks, evaluate their strengths, and explore their options for dealing with the threat of violence, including physical self-defense escapes and strikes.

Open to youth ages 11 through 14. Youth may attend alone or be accompanied by an adult (women-identifying, non-binary person comfortable in a space that centers on the experiences of girls or LGBTQIA2S+).

Snacks provided for all attendees.

Community Introductory Safety & Self-Defense Class

  • Mondays, May 4th, 11th, and 18th
  • 5:45 to 9:00 p.m.

We welcome all cis/trans women and non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women.  All Portlanders are welcome.
