We welcome all cis/trans women and non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women.  All Portlanders are welcome.  Please fill out our online registration form on or after the registration date.

  • Please plan to attend all sessions during the month and location you select.
  • Please cancel your registration before the first session if you cannot attend all sessions.
  • Please plan to attend all three sessions at the location you select.

    sessions.

Introductory Class Schedules

The Community-based Introductory Class focuses on the topics of:  Trusting and using your intuition, how bias affects your judgment, establishing and setting boundaries, assertive communication, De-Escalation Strategies, the benefits and Risks of various Escape Options, negotiating consent, healthy/unhealthy relationships, signs of abusive relationships, as well as many physical self-defense strikes and escapes. Introductory Classes are open to ages 14 and above. Young women under 18 need to be accompanied by a participating adult.

 

APRIL CLASS

registration opens Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:00 pm

Mondays, April 6th, 13th and 20th from 5:30-8:45 pm in the Mt Tabor Neighborhood (address given upon registration)

 

MAY CLASS

Registration opens Tuesday, April 7th @ 6:00 pm

Mondays, May 4th, 11th and 18th from 5:45-9:00 pm in the SE Lane Neighborhood (address given upon registration)

 

JUNE CLASS 

Registration opens Tuesday, May 5th @ 6:00 pm

Sundays, June 7th, 14th and 21st from 9:30 am-12:45 pm in the SW Neighborhood (address given upon registration)
