The Community Peace Collaborative (CPC) forum on Friday, October 17th will be distinctly different from our regular CPC meetings. Attendees will be invited to engage in a structured dialogue in response to the art exhibition entitled, "Envision A Future Without Gun Violence." The art works were created by 15 Parkrose High School BIPOC students and 20 Lewis and Clark art therapy faculty, graduate students, and community members after experiencing the Visioning Beyond Violence program. The focus of the meeting will be to engage in facilitated highly structured dialogue in small groups where participants will be given time to reflect and time to respond to two key questions.
In order to optimize our structured reflective time together, please:
- Come at 9:45am to network and get snacks.
- Our meeting will begin at 10:15am and end at 12:00 p.m.
- Stay for the entire meeting.
- Register for this meeting using this link: Community Peace Collaborative (Visioning Beyond Violence - Art & Dialogue) Tickets, Fri, Oct 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM | Eventbrite.
The meeting is at the Lewis and Clark College Counseling Center on the second floor of the Grande Ronde Tribal Building at 4445 SW Barbur Blvd., Unit 200, Portland OR 97239.
The nonprofit, Visioning Beyond Violence (VBV), was founded in 2015 in Southern Oregon and has facilitated training with hundreds of youth and adults to amplify their voices and visions to prevent gun violence. We look forward to you seeing this inspiring art exhibition and your participation in this structured dialogue!
