9.01.060 Notice and Posting.

(Amended by Ordinance 191973, effective January 1, 2025.)

  1. A.  Employers must provide and post notice of employee rights under this Chapter. The notice must be in English and other languages used to communicate with the employer’s workforce. The City may contract with the Bureau of Labor and Industries to create and disseminate the required poster. The City will provide a template for the notice.
  2. B.  In addition to providing employees with written notice, employers may comply with posting requirements of this Section by displaying a poster in a conspicuous and accessible place in each establishment where employees are employed.
  3. C.  An employer who knowingly violates the notice and posting requirements of this Section may be subject to a civil fine as provided in administrative rules.
  4. D.  Fines may not be assessed against any employer who mistakenly, but in good faith, violates this Section.
