- All booking agents and transient lodging intermediaries that facilitate the rental of short-term rentals will be charged a fee each night a guest rents a room. This fee is separate from the transient lodging tax authorized by the City Charter and Chapter 6.04. The revenues from this fee will be used to fund affordable housing and homelessness initiatives in the Portland area.
