- The Mayor and the Commissioner In Charge of Portland Fire & Rescue may enter in agreements with agencies of the federal government and with political subdivisions of a state in which each party agrees to provide mutual assistance, in the form of men and equipment, in combating large fires within the boundaries of the other party or parties to such agreements.
