  1. A. Foundation elements must be adequately maintained to support the building and must be free of rot, crumbling elements, or similar deterioration.
  2. B. The supporting structural members must be maintained structurally sound, showing no evidence of deterioration or decay that could substantially impair their ability to carry imposed loads.
