2.09.010 Election Event Accessibility.

City Code Section
  1. A.  If a debate or forum for candidates running for City Office is open to the general public, the debate or forum must be accessible.
  2. B.  Candidates for City office may participate in candidate debates and forums that are open to the general public if that debate or forum is accessible.
  3. C.  If a debate or forum is hosted at a physical location, accessible means wheelchair accessible and reasonable provision of the following upon request, if the request is made at least 10 business days prior to the event or at least 2 business days prior to the event if the event is first publicized fewer than 12 business days in advance: language services, as defined in administrative rules; removing physical barriers; providing modifications, accommodations, alternative formats, auxiliary aids, or other services that ensure access. If a debate or forum is hosted remotely, accessible means providing language services and any other reasonable accommodation requested at least 10 business days prior to the event or at least 2 business days prior to the event if the event is first publicized fewer than 12 business days in advance.
