16.20.503 Current Approval Required Before Use.

City Code Section

(Amended by Ordinance 189651, effective September 6, 2019.)

  1. A.  All general parking permits, must have current approval of the Director of the Bureau of Transportation at the time the permit is used by the permittee.
  2. B.  The Director of the Bureau of Transportation may deny a general parking permit application based on a demonstrated history of improper use by the applicant during the previous 12 months.
  3. C.  No permit will be issued to any applicant who has an outstanding balance due for prior violation(s) of or outstanding fees for permits issued by the Director of the Bureau of Transportation.
  4. D.  The Director of the Bureau of Transportation may require insurance to indemnify the City from liability before issuing a general parking permit.
  5. E.  A decision of the Director of the Bureau of Transportation regarding the issuance of a general parking permit may be appealed to the Code Hearings Officer according to Title 22 of the Portland City Code.
