September 20 is National Voter Registration Day and the next election is coming up on November 8! There are many ways that your vote can make a difference on both a national and local level. 

Have you gotten a parking ticket and fought it? The judge that handled your case was chosen by voters in a local election. Do you have kids in public school? The Board of Education members who decide how much money the school gets were chosen by voters in a local election. Local elections allow voters to choose who we want to represent our values and make decisions that will effect schools, parks, City planning, local laws, and other parts of our daily lives.
