Starting Phase II of the Charter Commission

Phase I of the Charter Commission’s work is complete. Phase II has started and is focused on three new areas: (1) climate and environmental justice; (2) bureau and office proposals; and (3) expansion of voting rights. The Commission formed a subcommittee around each focus area.


Upcoming subcommittee meetings include:

  • Thursday, Sept. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m., Expansion of Voting Rights Subcommittee Meeting
  • Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., Bureau & Office Proposal Subcommittee Meeting

Progress Report
The Charter Commission has released the first Phase II progress report to provide community members with the latest information on the Charter Commission’s ongoing work and a general idea of where the Commission is headed.
