The Portland Charter Commission is tasked with reviewing and recommending changes to the City of Portland’s charter for Portlanders to vote on. As part of their Phase II work, the Portland Charter Commission created three subcommittees focused on three topics: climate and environmental justice; bureau and office proposals; and expansion of voting rights. The commission has two upcoming virtual public hearings for community members to share their thoughts on these issues and the proposed amendments.
