Civic Life offers funding for eligible volunteer-led organizations through the Small Grants and Sponsorships program.

Small Grants and Sponsorships Application

North Portland Neighborhood Services hopes to create a committee whose members come with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. If you or someone you know is interested in helping with the application review, please share this link. Past grant applicants are eligible to serve on the review committee as well and will be required to disclose any conflicts of interest.

Meeting and Event Spaces

NPNS has worked with community groups to preserve historic buildings in North Portland, the Historic Firehouse in Kenton and the Overlook House. At one time these buildings were abandoned or set to be sold for private use. In both cases, community members stepped up to advocate for their preservation as community operated facilities. The Historic Kenton Firehouse and the Overlook House are facilities now available for community meetings and events.

Equitable and Fair Support

North Portland has the support of Civic Life staff that continue to build an equitable and fair process for delivering service. Mary Kelley and Summar Money are available to attend neighborhood association meetings and meet with boards to answer questions and collect feedback on priorities. You can contact the coordinators directly or email CivicLife@PortlandOregon.gov.
