Apply for a Temporary Liquor License

Temporary or special event liquor license applications must be submitted to both the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) and the City for approval.

Applications require 14 days to process.

  1. Gather information and forms

    Visit the OLCC's Special Events web page for detailed information and up-to-date forms for temporary sales liquor licenses.

    The City of Portland Liquor Program is now accepting Temporary Sales Licenses/Special Event Licenses that adhere to the State's COVID guidelines and restrictions. 

    We process applications within 14 days from the date we receive your completed application. 

    Rescheduling of Temporary Sale License (TSL) events will begin after the State of Emergency ends. Go here for more TSL details.

    Fee: $35

  2. Mail application and fee to the City

    Make check payable to "City of Portland" and mail to Liquor Licensing Program, Attn: TSL (address below).

  3. Mail a copy of your application to the OLCC with fee payment
