As of June 2024, the Restructuring Advisory Bodies Workgroup will pause meetings until further notice. Instead of creating a proposal to restructure the Advisory Bodies Program, the workgroup has pivoted to gathering more information about advisory bodies across the City to share with the City's future Engagement Officer.
Information collected includes links to advisory body websites, categorization of advisory bodies, relevant charter/code/ordinance/resolution references, links to bylaws, charters, and categorization of their place in the new government structure as they currently exist.
Beginning in February 2024, the Advisory Bodies Program formed the Restructuring Advisory Bodies Workgroup. Consisting of bureau representatives from across the City of Portland, this internal workgroup was tasked with creating a proposal to restructure the advisory bodies program.
Formerly, the Restructuring Advisory Bodies Workgroup were to meet at least eight times in 2024. The first meeting was held on April 22, 2024. Subsequent meetings were held on May 20 and June 24, 2024. Meetings scheduled for July 29, August 26, September 30, October 28, and November 25, 2024 have been cancelled.
Meeting agendas from meetings held as scheduled are published on this page.
