Portland Water Bureau crews quickly repair large main break, restore water service

Water bureaus crews successfully repaired a major water main break on Saturday, October 5th in Northwest Portland. Water service has been restored to all affected customers.

Construction and Maintenance

Construction is anticipated to start in the Summer of 2024 and will take up to four months to complete.
Project design began in 2019 and will continue through 2024. Construction is expected to begin Spring 2025.
Construction began April 15, 2024. It will take about a year and a half to complete all work in the neighborhood.

Each year, the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims honors those who have been killed and injured on roads around the globe—1.35 million people each year worldwide. This year, World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is Sunday, November 17.
