Bull Run Filtration Facility land use permit update

In January 2025, the Land Use Board of Appeals remanded (sent back to Multnomah County) one item from the Bull Run Filtration Project's Multnomah County land use permit. The Water Bureau has begun a wind-down and pause of construction for the remand period.

City issues Request for Proposals (RFP) for temporary shelters for people experiencing homelessness.

Construction and Maintenance

Construction is anticipated to start in the Summer of 2024 and will take up to four months to complete.
Project design began in 2019 and will continue through 2024. Construction is expected to begin Spring 2025.
Construction began April 15, 2024. The project is expected to be complete by October 2025.
