- Within ten (10) days after the effective date of any annexation or ten (10) days after the proclamation of results of any election on merger or consolidation, if such merger or consolidation is successful, the Council shall adopt a resolution describing the new boundaries, certified copies of which shall be filed as set forth in Section 1-201 of this Charter.
